Still thinking about the students who attended @icff_nyc, like Megan Acera as a runner up for her chair called Joyful Frustration in the @wilsonart 13th annual chair design competition. This year’s theme was “Borders, Boundaries and Mash-Up” and the kids were so creative. The challenge involves the artistic process as well as a constructive one, as the students have to interpret their art into a functioning chair, and build it themselves using Wilsonart laminate. Since there are so many colors, patterns, and texture, the material options are endless. @thegracejeffers worked with the students at this year, and the interpretations of the theme were so varied and thoughtful @meganacera Read More »
A close up of the @jffabrics fabrics and the @phillipjeffriesltd wallpaper in the cozy little den makeover. I found the 2 storage ottomans in the master bedroom and reupholstered them in @meredithheron’s @cryptonfabric and repurposed them here. The woven shades (and Woody) are the only original things in the room. Just need a tray and a few other things and then Read More »
@synchronicitylighting’s Artemis light fixture. It somehow captures the ruggedness of spears delicately grasping the almost fluid looking Swarovski crystal. And maybe it’s because I’m starving, but I also thought it felt a little Asian, where I can kind of see simplified ginkgo leaves at the top and chopsticks holding crystal sashimi. Maybe it’s just me? Either way, this fixture is really cool in person, the LED light hits that crystal perfectly, creating a soft glow @hubbardtonforge Read More »
There were some amazing things to see but this was the most detailed “booth”. Solid mahogany, assembled on site with lighting embedded in the overhead beams. If @sunvalleybronze puts such effort into the display, just imagine how much goes into crafting their gorgeous hardware and lighting. This is quality @icff_nyc Read More »
Did you know that the designers who create these gorgeous show houses typically have to break it all down and leave the room the way they found it when the show is over? Hoping that isn’t the case with this room, where the designer commissioned an artist to paint the walls to complement the stunning original ceiling. And wait until you see some of the other rooms Read More »
