Are You Ready to Light It Up?

It’s mid-November, the clocks turned back last week, and everyone is turning on their lights a lot earlier lately. When it’s rainy and gloomy (or snowing!!!), the lights come on even earlier. And that’s just the lighting we use inside, but…

…soon enough, we’ll have this all over town.

The Griswold’s

Since it’s Thanksgiving season (please leave the Christmas lights for next month), let’s focus on lighting up the dining table, and maybe have a little fun with it.

I thought it would be fun to show you something you probably would never pick for yourselves, but maybe will reconsider. Not too many, because who has time for that? Not me, after trying to experiment with these affiliate posts. (You know, if you click any of the following links AND buy something, I might make a very small commission, but there’s no extra cost to you.)

Do you love the beach (or the “shore” if you’re in NJ)?Add an ocean vibe with rope and glass that are a nod to fishermen’s floats.

Floral designs add a delicate touch and there’s a style that works for everyone, from dandelion blooms to more classic candelabra shapes.

You could always mix in a bit of retro. Something midcentury modern can bring a fresh look to an otherwise traditional space. From bright white to a more industrial feel, there’s a wide range to choose from.

Of course, there are zillions of ideas I haven’t even covered, but I wanted to give you a sampling of some different fixtures that may, surprisingly, work in your home. Simply adding something that might contrast with your furnishing can breathe some new life into your space.

Is there a type of light fixture you would like me to focus on in an upcoming post? Let me know in the comments, or on my Facebook page. I’m thinking about doing a regular #welllitwednesday post, what do you think?
