Spring is coming!
Well, even though it doesn’t really feel like it, it did tease us for a couple of days this week. It was a reminder that the sun will warm our faces soon.
Spring is the time for renewal. People like me get a lot of calls for help around this time, as the itch for “new” starts to get to people. Landscapers, and real estate agents get a lot of calls as well. Look at how many houses go on the market in spring! Spring fever, baby.

Even if you aren’t in the market for anything drastic, change can still be good. One of the easiest things you can do to create a whole new look is to change out your pillows. While there are tons of pillows to choose from, you can also just use new pillow covers on your old pillows, if they are in good condition.

Designer Tip:
Use a pillow cover that is the next size down from the size of your pillow insert. That way the pillow is nice and full. Nothing worse than flat, floppy, sloppy pillows! Or flat, floppy, sloppy ANYTHING, really. You know I’m right. I don’t need to explain.
What are you waiting for?
Get shopping! There are some great colors and patterns of pillows and pillow covers on sale right now, check it out.
That’s it for today! Short and sweet, because I have a lot of my own refreshing to do!

Hi Christine! so you might not be surprised to hear that I have a big love for cushions as well. In fact can I drop a name for a really nice cushion company I worked with in the past? It’s Bivain (be-vain) and they make these amazing silk cushions in really eye popping colours! You can read more about them here: https://www.seasonsincolour.com/single-post/We-have-cushion-fever-and-want-to-pass-it-on – Also, for those US based, I came across an amazing business on ETSY who unfortunately for me does not ship to the UK but they have the most colourful cushions and prints; they are called PinkLionDog – stunning!
I’m forever changing up my cushions, I have my Spring ones ready and waiting to go!
I so hope spring is coming, we’ve had snow this week. I do like to swap out my cushions at various times of the year but maybe that’s beacuse I have too many cushions already. I do need some new cushion pads as one has been particularly deflated by being under the dog for most of winter…….
This is such a fab tip i love updating cushion covers its inexpensive way to change whole new look
Great tip to buy smaller covers. I also think it is important to buy a quality cushion pad as I hate it when they loose their plumpness.
I’m definitely up for new cushions this spring. I’ve seen so many that I love recently. I’m going to have to choose wisely so it doesn’t get out of hand.
Great tip about using a larger cushion pad – I have gone about it a different way and put two cushions inside one cover, as I totally agree about them bing nice and fat! x
Everyone should refresh in the Spring, and changing out cushions is a great tip. Not too expensive but makes a big difference.
Great tip! Simple way to refresh the look of your home. You can never have too many cushions!
Updating covers is a great way of making a difference as the seasons change. I enjoy shopping on the High Street for spring as some of the shops have got some lovely bright colours in at the moment – and they don’t cost an arm and a leg.
